What JIQ is
JIQ is a private application used by the residents, staff, and management committee of a residential society of flats. It is used to log and track maintenance issues, complete scheduled checklists, and coordinate society operations. The app is intended solely for members of this community and is not offered to the general public.
Information we collect
When an account is created or an issue is logged, JIQ stores the following:
- Account details — your flat number, role within the society (resident, staff, supervisor, manager, or committee), and a login identifier in email format (for example, a flat-based ID such as XX@asvjayantika.in). These identifiers are usernames only and are not active mailboxes.
- Issue records — descriptions of maintenance issues, their category, status, and history of updates.
- Photos — images you choose to attach to an issue, taken or selected from your device with your permission.
JIQ does not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing history, or any advertising identifiers. It does not use tracking or analytics services.
How your information is used
Information in JIQ is used only to run the society's maintenance operations: assigning issues to the right staff, tracking resolution deadlines, maintaining a history of work done, and generating internal summaries for the management committee. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to society operations.
Where your data is stored
JIQ stores its data with Supabase, a cloud database and authentication service. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by role-based access rules, so residents see their own issues while staff and management see the records relevant to their responsibilities.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Data is visible only to authorised users of JIQ within the society, and to Supabase as our infrastructure provider. Information may be disclosed if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Issue records are retained as part of the society's maintenance history. If you would like your account information corrected or removed, contact the society administrator using the details below and we will action the request.
Children
JIQ accounts are issued to adult residents and staff of the society. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
